One of my favorite poems out of the Howe readings was How Many Times i liked it because although the purpose was very disturbing. It described the relationship that was happening with her father and her sister very well. I was able to visualize the things mentioned such as the glass falling to the floor. I was aslo able to feel how much she wanted to help her sister, by stopping her father.

  1. I agree that there was a lot of emotion in Howe's work, especially this poem. She does a very good job of drawing the reader in to her pieces. I have no idea what I would have done if I was in her shoes, but I could feel that she wanted to do something but felt so helpless. This was one of my favorites too.
