Wishes for Sons
i wish them cramps.
i wish them a strange town
and the last tampon.
I wish them no 7-11.
i wish them one week early
and wearing a white skirt.
i wish them one week late.
later i wish them hot flashes
and clots like you
wouldn't believe. let the
flashes come when they
meet someone special.
let the clots come
when they want to.
let them think they have accepted
arrogance in the universe,
then bring them to gynecologists
not unlike themselves.
Lucille Clifton
I picked this poem mainly because it was funny, and so true. I could imagine every woman feeling or having a few of these thoughts. When my friends and I get together we often discus men (which i figure most girls do) What usually comes up in conversation is how easy guys have it! this poem fits perfectly with those feelings.
you dream and imagine the things you want, then they will begin to appear in your life its all about positive thinking!

Just a thought

Just a thought, while listening to my ipod....
Many people and I could also quote a few songs...Say that cupid doesn't lie. Maybe that's to hard of a fact to face, couldn't they say he tells fibs or white lies?...But isn't it really a lie to say he doesn't lie, because I could easily debate that!
Just the symbol of cupid being a big baby with no shirt and a diaper, just disturbs me.
